Accommodations

The Nonsuch 30 classic provides as much room as many larger boats.

Entering the cabin via the companionway ladder, quarterberths are located to port and starboard, running aft under the cockpit seating. Next forward on the port side is a nav table, followed by an L shaped galley with propane stove / oven, S.S. sink with hot and cold pressure water, ice box, storage shelf and drawers. Across to starboard is the enclosed head / shower compartment, with head, sink, hand held shower, and storage. The salon area is forward with settee / bunks to port and starboard, and a chest of drawers and hanging lockers in the forward bulkhead. The entire interior is accented by richly oiled teak.

Deck Refurbishment

In 2009 numerous areas of wet coring were found and completely repaired by DeMello Fiberglass Repair in Bristol RI. The repair involved removing all deck hardware, removing wet core materials in affected areas and replacing with Corecell foam core, Then fiberglassing and fairing as required. The entire deck was then re gel coated to provide a uniform finish. all deck hardware was then rebedded, with some fittings being updated. New teak handrails were made and all exterior teak trim was stripped and refinished. Companionway hatch Lexan was reglazed. New Teak compnionway boards were fashioned.

The boat was out of the water for a period of 3 seasons wile these projects were completed.
